On Saturday, February 15, 2025, Lorie Cavalli of Arizona Project WET and Christina Molinaro of iWonder Flagstaff hosted a place-based workshop at Foxglenn Park in Flagstaff for area educators. Participants had a sensational time problem-solving solid water (ice and snow!) scenarios. The workshop modeled activities and provided resources for water-focused young learner engagement during winter months. These lessons and practices will help these teachers inspire li’l explorers to understand and appreciate water through joyful discovery:
- Water has unique physical characteristics
- Water is essential to life
- Water connects Earth’s systems
- Water is a natural resource
