Drought is a regional issue, but its impacts are felt differently depending on location. Local solutions tailored to the unique needs of communities, hydrologic conditions, and policy frameworks are the most effective approaches to drought management. In the webinar "One Size Doesn't Fit All: Why Variation in Hydrology and Legal Structures means that Drought Looks Different across the West," panelists discussed the ways that policymakers can promote localized drought management practices, and ways in which drought impacts can be mitigated in a way most relevant to those on-the-ground. The moderator was Jason King, Nevada State Engineer, and panelists included:

- Sharon Megdal, Director of the Water Resources Research Center at the University of Arizona;

- Jack Berger, Vice President, Wyoming Association of Conservation Districts, owner of Berger Ranches;

- Frank Belock, Deputy General Manager, San Diego County Water Authority.
