Colorado River Timeline

In celebration of its 70th anniversary (1945-2015), the Colorado River Water Users Association (CRWUA) has put together a detailed timeline of the history of the Colorado River from 1869 to the present. The timeline displays key water events including negotiations over the apportionment of the River, important acts, international treaties, and some of CRWUA’s work.  

 

CRWUA is a non-profit, non-partisan organization providing a forum for exchanging ideas and perspectives on Colorado River use and management with the intent of developing and advocating common objectives, initiatives and solutions.
